Assisted Living Memory Care

I would not recommend The Phoenix at Roswell due to the present leadership. I would tell others to do research, conduct pop up visits, speak to the employees, and make sure they have everything in order regarding documentation. He was only there for a year, and when we moved out we did not get all of his stuff back. It is a nice facility, but they have some work to do.
I think they could be more consistent in their activities and they have been understaffed at times.
They do have enough staff on hand to handle and care for all of the residents.
They're professional, caring, and compassionate.
The wellness director seems fine. I have had very little contact with them. I am paying an outside caregiver to come in and take care of my husband until 3 o'clock because I was not familiar enough with the place when we moved in. He is in memory care and can not speak for himself, but based on what my caregiver tells me, everything seems great. The director, Marty, has been wonderful. He has gone above and beyond what I have expected. He has stayed in touch with me, he keeps me informed, he talks to me when I do show up, and every request I have had he has done immediately. I don't know about the other staff, but I know there are several very good care givers there. One of the care givers comes in the evening, I call her Mary, and she is wonderful. So far everything is fine. My husband was in another location before for 5 years and I was hands on every day. He has only been at The Phoenix at Roswell for 2 weeks prior to the coronavirus outbreak, and I have not been allowed to go there for 3 weeks now. It has been stressful to not check on him and see him because we have been married for 53 years, but they have been so good at that place that I am just lucky that I moved him in when I did because the other place was horrible.
I like the convenience of the facility, it is a smaller community and the rooms are big and well maintained. It's also priced competitively.
They take really good care of the residents, they keep the families updated at all times, the staff really cares about the residents, and it's a beautiful facility.
From what I know, they seem to do a good job of taking care of their residents. I have never been there, but I am just assuming what they tell me is true.
The people who are at The Phoenix at Roswell are very kind, and caring. THey seem to care about the people who are there. It is a small facility, and it is directed at caring for the people and not so much for show and how pretty the facility is. It is a care place, and not a show place.
Everybody there is compassionate. The place is very clean and my husband is well cared for. There's a ton of more reasons. I highly recommend this place for anyone that needs to place a loved one somewhere.
More than anything, I think the economic pocket of staff commuting to Roswell needs to be addressed. Possibly raising wages for staff so there is less turnover and friendlier to the residents. Maybe experimenting with staff, such as college students studying healthcare, so there aren't as many burnt out staff members.
My mom is happy and comfortable at The Phoenix at Roswell.
The Phoenix at Roswell is a good fit, it is conveniently located, and the staff are respectful.
I like the personal care they give. Nowhere is perfect but The Phoenix is great.
My mom is receiving the best care at The Phoenix at Roswell. The caregivers seem to have a very sincere caring for the residents.
I have recommended The Phoenix at Roswell to friends and family.
If anyone has a family member to which the facility would be useful, I would tell them to come check it out.
I would tell someone that I am recommending about my experience. I feel that they have a good handle on caring for the patients that need a little extra care and have behavioral issues.
Again, major improvements to the hygiene of the residents.
If the improvements I mentioned earlier were made, then my rating would definitely go up
The professionalism and residential care of the staff is exceptional. They go above and beyond as much they can.
It would just depend on someone's condition. Some of this animosity is because the disease sucks and I am dealing with knowing that someone isn't going to take care of my dad the way that I would. If they need to follow up or be in contact about improvements I would love for anyone on the receiving end of the interview to contact me.
I appreciate the ability to contact the nurses and staff at any time. It is a very personal atmosphere and I love the close contact that I have with the staff because I am not able to get to see my parents as much as I want to and on the level that I want to.
It is a beautiful community and will say I think the residents are in good hands and are safe. I will also say that for anyone looking to place a resident in a senior care community that being present and being involved in your loved ones care makes a world of difference.
The new renovation they just completed is beautiful and it has really made it look nice and clean. All of the staff from management and down is so kind and caring and they have made it easy on me as the only surviving family member to be able to keep her there. I honestly wouldn't have her anyone else other than the Phoenix at Roswell.
If your loved one is in need of care and you want a smaller loving environment then I definitely think the Phoenix at Roswell is the place.
They have been so good to all of my family and I have appreciated all they have done to care for my loved and make us feel comfortable knowing he is in good hands since we can’t be the ones to care for him.
I would not have any problem recommending them to anyone if they would correct the shortage of staff.
I know it's not an easy job, but the staff shows strength and patience with the residents. I appreciate them and what they do for my brother. I'd recommend The Phoenix at Roswell to friends and family.
I would be more likely to recommend The Phoenix at Roswell if the following issues were addressed: lack of communication, organization of laundry, and overall attention to details.
I would rate The Phoenix at Roswell a 5/5 if the Memory Care side improved to be more like the Assisted Living side.
I would recommend The Phoenix at Roswell because they genuinely care. They treat you as people. They work with us on our schedule and that shows the compassion they have for people and not just numbers.
The staff maximize resident independence while meeting their care needs. It's a supportive environment for residents who need extra care.
For families like us needing a high a level of care, the Phoenix at Roswell would rate higher than other communities.
The care here is sincere. The staff is in it for the care of the residents. You can't fake that level of sincerity.
The Phoenix at Roswell offers a warm cozy environment with management and staff who really care for the residents.
My mother has been at the Phoenix at Roswell for some time now and we couldn't have asked for a better place for her at this stage of her life.
They are really friendly. They seem to be really caring and put together. They have in-depth case plans. They are taking care of my dad even though I live far away, and I appreciate that!
I would not recommend The Phoenix at Roswell to anyone.
It's a good choice for families on lower fixed incomes.
I am so thankful for everything that they do. When we first got there, I was stressed out and they really reassured me. I already recommend The Phoenix to others. I really can't complain.
All in all, I'm very pleased with Phoenix. I'm more pleased with Phoenix than the more expensive community my mother was at before. Though, I'd like to see stronger management, like a head caregiver to oversee the others.
We're confident that my mother is well cared for here. We feel that caring feeling when we walk in every time.
I'm just learning everything now, so when I come home at night, I need to know my wife taken care of. They're doing what I can't do. They are caring people who take their time with us, and make us feel welcome.
I would say that this is a great place. I love the atmosphere throughout the building. I also really like the common room with the high ceilings. It helps the place be more open, and makes the atmosphere better. The staff that work there are also very kind.
Everyone at the Phoenix at Roswell is very kind. They communicate well, they do a good job, and they care about their residents.
The people that work that work there are great. The staff and the facility are great for this type of illness.
There's some real positives, but it's very individual. It depends on what they would want from the situation. There's a wide discrepancy. The administrative and caregiving staff are good. I just know it's a hard job.
My mother gets good care and when I ask her about things she is generally happy about them. She might complain about small things but I think she would do that anywhere - it is just part of being 83 and senile.
I realize it's a hard job to do and I think they are good at it. The people that work there seem to genuinely like the residents and say nice things about my mom. As far as I know, there is no abuse or anything like that.
Overall, every time we go and visit it seems secure and the staff seem friendly. It's clean and well kept.
I'm pleased. I really appreciate that they have kept the cost down.
The way that they took care of my dad - when he was hospitalized they even visited him at the hospital to make sure things were going well. The overall genuine care and concern they have, calling the residents by name and knowing all of them is wonderful. If you have to have a loved one cared for, this is the place for them to be.
My overall experience being there - I live out of town but i know if i call of them and ask a question they will quickly respond.
They are taking care of my dad even when he is agitated. They do things to keep him from getting overwhelmed like allowing him to walk more rather than over medicating him.
They are doing really interesting things with activities and I'm impressed with the activities director. However, I didn't get a lot of orientation about things like alarm systems and keeping doors locked or unlocked.
My mom stayed at this community for the last six months of her life which is why I chose to have my dad live in this community. I have recommended it to friends and family.
The Phoenix at Roswell is very nice and I have noticed such an improvement in my brother since he got there. He is better than he has ever been since he got sick and Phoenix at Roswell was willing to accept him and take a chance on him when no one else would. He has done so well there and they really love him and encourage him, which makes him feel good and makes us a family feel good about him being there since he can't be home with us.
We have actually recommended the Phoenix at Roswell, but they couldn't work it out right now. Overall I have been very pleased with the Phoenix at Roswell and the care they provide to my mother.
I would say one thing that makes them deserving of a 5 is their constant communication with me. I get emails from them on a weekly or bi-weekly basis to let me know how he is doing or to tell me about upcoming events. They do a great job of keeping me apprised as to what is going on at the community. Their customer service goes beyond the initial sales call.
This is our first experience with a Memory Care community and I have visited a couple of others, but I would have to say that Phoenix at Roswell seems to be the best for our situation.
I originally brought my loved one to the Phoenix at Roswell, because it is a very open community and I like the way the residents are free to walk around as much as they want. Overall I have been very happy with the community over the last 4 years since she has been there.
I feel they take good care of the residents at The Phoenix at Roswell. My mom usually seems happy when we come to visit and when they put things on Facebook it looks like the residents are having fun. It's just a good place where you don't have to worry about your loved one.
The people are very nice, the care is good and I have been very pleased with The Phoenix at Roswell.
